Ceville from Boxed Dreams out of Munich is a point and click adventure title that is set for release in the near future. In fact in the German-speaking territories it will be out November 20th while the UK will get the game early next year on January 16th due to it needing to go through localization. Kalypso Media is doing the publishing.
Christian Wolferstetter and Joachim Segler were nice enough to give me a peek and some info on the game. Ceville will feature more than 30 locations and should provide at least 10 to 12 hours of gameplay.
There are also multiple playable characters in the game - Ceville himself, Ambrosius, the pompous and self-important knight and Lilly, a quirky, but kind and gentle girl. While playing the game you can switch between characters because some puzzles will require one character to be doing something while the second character does something else.
Considering that there are only 10 people doing the development duties for the game it is coming along nicely and looks really good, very interesting. The art style is distinct. All of the characters are lively and many had focus drawn from one feature and then had that feature exaggerated in a comical way - big ears, tall and beanpole like, etc.
As I said the game looks good and I believe this next year will see several really good point-and-click adventure titles with this ranking in the top 5.
