Gamer Doc Video Games Announces Area Developers for Miami
Posted by Wade "TNT" Hinkle, 131 days ago Jul 29, 2008 09:33

Gamer Doc, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that Gabriel Roqueta, Carlos Bernal and Hector Fernandez have joined the company as area developers for Miami, where they will direct store development in Miami-Dade and Broward counties in Florida.

"Florida has a very robust entrepreneurial edge and is a very strong market for us," said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. "No other retail sector is growing like video games and the addition of Gabriel, Hector and Carlos to our team offers entrepreneurs the ideal opportunity to own their own store and be a part of this exciting trend."

"It’s a great time to be part of the video game industry," Roqueta said. "Despite softening or shrinking demand in other categories, the growth of the video game market continues unabated. More consumers of all ages, as well as families, are playing video games. Rather than watch TV, go to a movie or attend a sporting event, people are choosing video games as the best value and the most fun for their entertainment dollar."

"Gamer Doc stores are bringing a new innovation to retail," Fernandez said. "Customers are in charge of their own shopping experience, whether they are hardcore gamers, casual players, moms and dads, or senior citizens. There is no longer a stereotypical gamer, because video games appeal to all segments of the population."

Customers can easily find the games, consoles and accessories they want at the Xbox 360, PlayStation and Wii "Gamer Centers" featured in each store.

"Gamers who know what they want can come in and pick-up, pre-order or rent a title, drop off a console for repair, and be in and out of the store quickly. Those who are new to gaming or players who want to browse, can take as much time and ask as many questions as they’d like," Bernal said. "Customers are going to enjoy shopping at Gamer Doc, and will keep coming back as well as tell all of their friends to shop with us."
