Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix interactive entertainment products in North America, announced today that Dissidia Final Fantasy  for the  PSP (PlayStationPortable) system (including the PSPgo system) is now available on PlayStation Store.

Previously released for the PSP system, Dissidia Final Fantasy now arrives on the latest handheld offering from Sony Computer Entertainment. Combining fighting game elements with RPG-based character development, Dissidia Final Fantasy does what no other Final Fantasy title has done before, bringing to reality an all-star cast of fan-favorite Final Fantasy characters.

Placing players amidst a collision of good versus evil, Dissidia Final Fantasy delivers a dramatic storyline and expansive 3-D environments for a brand-new action game experience based on the renowned franchise that has shipped over 85 million units worldwide.

STORY

Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. Chaos, the god of discord. Reigning from distant realms, the two gods had gathered warriors from all lands to lead them in savage war.

Cosmos and Chaos were of equal strength. It was believed the conflict would last forever. However, the balance is now broken.

Those who answered Chaos’s call created an inexhaustible force. And under vicious attack without relent, the warriors fighting for Cosmos started to fall one by one. The conflict that has continued for eons is now about to end in Chaos’s favor.
