A whopping nine titles will be on display – eight playable publicly for the very first time – on Rising Star Games’ stand at this weekend’s MCM Expo.

London MCM Expo is set to provide the grand opening for this year’s London Games Festival, the Capital’s celebration of the best in videogame culture. Held at Excel on 24-25 October, the Expo will be a gamers’ feast, with top developers from across the globe giving visitors hands-on experience with the hottest new games as well as sneak peeks at their latest projects .

Rising Star Games will be there in force, showcasing nine titles across Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and WiiWare – seven of which will be playable publicly in the UK for the very first time.

In addition, those dropping by the Rising Star Games stand will be able to pre-register for the firm’s forthcoming Hoshi Club, which is being launched officially next week. Plus, for the duration of the show only, Rising Star Games will be selling a beautiful limited-edition Muramasa: The Demon Blade poster for £2.00, with all proceeds benefitting industry charity GamesAid ( www.gamesaid.org).

And if that’s not enough: to celebrate the release of the firm’s 50th title, one lucky winner – drawn from attendees of the MCM Expo and members of Rising Star Games’ registered online users – will win the opportunity to head to the Rising Star Games office and pick up a copy of every game the firm has ever published.

The critically-acclaimed Muramasa: The Demon Blade will be playable on the stand, so MCM Expo attendees can be among the first in the country to see why this beautiful Nintendo Wii title has been the gaming darling of the Japanese and US charts. Fragile Dreams – one of next year’s most promising Wii games will also be on show alongside Ju-On: The Grudge and Rune Factory: Frontier.

Titles premiering from Rising Star Games’ sister label Gamebridge include the innovative Papermates on Nintendo DS, Way of the Samurai on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and the firm’s first digitally-distributed game Overturn (WiiWare).

Little King’s Story (Rising Star Games, Nintendo Wii) and Hello Kitty (Gamebridge, Nintendo DS) will also be playable too.

"Our MCM line-up shows what Rising Star Games and our sister company Gamebridge are all about," says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. "Will a mix of titles across the majority of formats, whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just a causal player, there’s something here for everyone."

"In addition, anyone dropping by the Rising Star Games stand can register their details for Hoshi Club – a unique proposition we’re launching next week. We’ll be giving away on-the-spot prizes to a few lucky attendees, as well as cutting a cake to celebrate our 50th release."
