OEM Inc., a premier developer of software for musicians and music enthusiasts, today announced that Jammit for iPhone and iPod touch is now available for download on the App Store. Jammit is a multi-functional tool that allows users to listen, remix, learn, and play along with master recordings of popular classic and current songs from their favorite artists.

“What makes Jammit unique is that it lets users interact with the original recordings of the artists they love,” said Scott Humphrey, CEO and co-founder of OEM Inc. “By providing this unprecedented access, we’re enabling people to learn these fantastic songs at their own pace and in their own style.”

Jammit formats the master recordings of your favorite music with easy-to-read, synced notation and the unique capability to rebalance the mix. Listen to the guitar part by itself, and you’ll learn how to play it exactly the way it was recorded by the original artist.

At launch, a selection of genre-specific apps featuring hit songs will be available for download including titles from: Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Pantera, All-American Rejects, White Zombie, No Doubt, Sum 41 and many more. Upcoming applications will be released on a weekly basis and feature songs from artists such as: Rise Against, Godsmack, Peter Frampton, Fall Out Boy, Papa Roach, The Doobie Bros., and more.

Jammit apps are available now on the App Store for $6.99. Each app includes three master recordings for a select instrument
