Rockstar has chosen Twitter to confirm the North American release date of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on Sony’s PlayStation Portable.

The game, which Rockstar confirmed will be available both as a download on PSN and as a boxed retail product, will be released on October 20th.

The European launch date has yet to be confirmed, but owing to the high piracy rates on Sony’s handheld it’s likely that Rockstar will aim for a simultaneous worldwide launch.
