Game development company founded in December 1990. BEC stands for Bandai Entertainment Company. Set up by the Japanese anime and game giant to develop games for the WonderSwan and PlayStation console series, the company also created original characters like Dokodemo Hamster -- who started out as a character in a popular WonderSwan game -- and produced content for mobile phone users.

The company is headed up by President and CEO Eisaku Maniwa.
