I’d like to tell about changes concerning trade posts and markets. In Majesty they were guarantee of economic growth. Markets generated money, and trade posts sent caravans, which secured even more profit. They both could be built in large numbers, but there were some restrictions. Thus, a new trade post could be built at a good distance from both existing trade posts and markets. Same thing with new markets. This challenged a player to locate trade posts and markets in an intricate pattern to maximize profit.
In Majesty2 rules for building of markets and trade posts have undergone considerable changes. Now the player can have only one market. Trade posts can be built only on specified places, marked by a donkey and a cart. It’s rather easy to spot such places on a map – they are located along the main roads. Trade posts themselves have also changed. After corresponding invention heroes can buy ALL goods from a city market and a magic bazaar, and after the last upgrade trade posts can shoot back at attackers.
