Forza Motorsports 3 is the pinnacle of racing games. With the latest edition,
whether you’re an absolute beginner in the racing genre or a total speed freak who knows tight vs. loose, how much air pressure affects grip and what a spring rubber is, you’ve got something here for you.
This time around Forza gives us five different levels of play. That means you can cater the racing experience to your very tastes. You can even mix and match your own settings to give you the ideal interface. That’s about the coolest take on game difficulty ever.
Forza Motorsport 3 also gives you an ample amounts of cars, tracks and even race types to keep you at top speed
for a very long time to come. Each car has its own unique feel and drives differently. The GDN Shelby GT 500 does not turn very well while the GDN Lotus Exige can’t seem to keep a grip on the track (these are just the custom-painted version of the cars in question, not special editions sadly).
I was just at the Forza 3 launch party in Prague this week and played in cockpit mode with the steering wheel set up. Prior to that I had only played with the controller and chase cam view. Wow! What a difference that all makes though the 46 inch LCD probably helped add something to the experience. I was totally immersed in the gameplay even though a dozen people were watching and a strip show (it was also a Playboy casting call party) was taking place. How’s THAT for engrossing gameplay?
