Exocubes
Posted by Wade "TNT" Hinkle, Jan 06, 2009
Exocubes, by Gameeel Entertainment, is a game about a stick figure with a blockhead,  hense his name,  Cubert,  who wakes up in a world of rooms filled with cubes. He’s enclosed on four sides by walls, and rows of colored bricks are steadily filling the room from the ceiling.Only the floor is weak enough to be destroyed. Thus it’s the only escape route. If you can help Cubert destroy the floor, he’ll drop down into the next room with cubes coming down faster. Then he must escape from that room, etc. His freedom is just a short forty rooms away and nine rooms in the classic mode (Though I am trying to figure out how they have a classic mode if this is an original game??). But if the cubes take over the room, GAME OVER!!

I know reading that little excerpt probably doesn’t do justice to what the game is like but it is just one of those games that is hard to put down on paper what Exocubes is all about.

The first couple of rounds seems to be relatively easy and almost mundane, it wasn’t looking promising right away, but the more I played the more I got drawn into it. The object obviously is to score High points by getting combos and such which only gets you closer to getting Cubert into the next room and hopefully to freedom.(Though I have to admit, we haven’t escaped yet, but we are still trying!!

The graphics are good, I have to admit, it seems like I have seen this game before, though the colors and back grounds change quite a bit to keep it exciting and interesting, the sounds are also are pleasant, at times it seem that the music doesn’t fit the speed of the game.

Overall this game has a little bit of a habit forming problem and I at times have still gone back to try again, maybe one day Cubert and I will really get it done.

Try the demo we have it here
